5 Mischiefmakers Holiday Traditions

As the Holidays draw near, the mischiefmakers, their dad and I are gearing up and excited about counting down until Christmas. Here is our list of traditions:

1. The boys pick out a new ornament each year to decorate and place on the tree.

2. We have a family holiday movie watching night when we make hot chocolate, bake chocolate chip cookies together and then curl up as a family on the futon in the basement and watch as many Christmas movies and DVRd specials we can. After we're pooped, we call it a night and start over the next day.

3. They only get new gifts on their birthday and Christmas, but yet their toys are still out of control so to prepare for their new gifts, we get the Mischiefmakers to help me select toys they aren't playing with anymore to gift to Good will and charity.

4. We find a nearby light show to do see.

5. We make a wicked gingerbread man which is a new tradition we just started last year, but I think this one is a keeper. Now that GG is into baking and helping out cooking now, it should be even more...interesting...heh heh heh!

What do you guys do? What are your 5 traditions?
