The Mischiefmakers Caribbean Summer Vacation

so the mischiefmakers caught a jet plane last Sunday to sunny Saint Maarten...this was Cboy's 10th plane trip and 8th trip out of the country. Lucky kid! He's only 6 and his passport is stamped up more than many adults! what a difference a generation makes, huh?GG enjoying a little mid flight snack...(that's my baby sister/sitter who we carted along to watch the kids...er too bad she couldn't stand the sound of GG's crying. *sigh* at least she had fun!)thank God Jboy's laptop computer toy kept him busy all flight...We stayed at one of our time share company's resorts, the Royal Palm in Simpson Bay on the Dutch side of the bi polar islandThere were lots of activities to partake in on the resort itself...we were so busy going here and there, we missed all of them...except the crab race on the second day...And they were off! People placed bets on these tiny hermit crabs with numbers painted on their shells...I don't know if PETA would approve. ha!we had a suite with plenty room for the boys to fight as usual...poor Kermit puppet!
GG was quite the determined lady this trip. She became mommy struck and wouldn't go to anyone but me! not cool b/c I hate hearing her cry, but I suppose she got used to having 24 hour access to mom...the boys swimming at Le Galion beach near Orient Bay on the French side of the island, Saint Martin...oh it was a clothing optional...alas plenty of bare breast abound on this very kid friendly mainly shallow calm beach.
hanging out on the rocks after coming back from Anguilla one day...this is at the port in Marigot on the French side of the island...we almost didn't make it because TriniDaddy's mom needed a visa from her native Trinidad to travel there...TriniDaddy had to beg to let his mom go thru without it. Thank goodness he is quite persuasive. I suck. Once they told me no, I was ready to head to the local mall and SHOP! ha!
We landed on the other side after a very bumpy 3o minute Ferry ride...
at some point during the week, we ate at the national landmark and institution Cheri's cafe where there is a nightly (sans Tuesday) les cage aux folles type show
Jboy playing in the sand on the resort beach...
the boys loved making sand castles...C boy got burried in the sand at Le Galion beach....
C boy playing in the sand at Cupecoy Beach...Dutch side....
J boy making sand castles at Cupecoy...
not until Wednesday, mid week, before Jboy hit the actual water...he was afraid most times and stayed ashore building castles...a great sunset view of the beach on the resort...
poolside...the swim up bar was the best!the boys loved eating at "Chez Daddy' s " restaurant on the other side of our suite LOl!Jboy took advantage of the internet lounge on our floor to catch up on his email and keep in touch with pals at home *snicker* ... i thot this was a cute shot!we took a children's cruise one afternoon and Jboy and Cboy got to actually steer the boat

a refreshing margarita during lunch at Anguilla...
we spent the last day shopping for souvenirs and gifts at Phillisburg, the capital city of the tiny island country.
