GG had a Pooh Pool Party. We had 8 guests show up. Not bad for an impromptu Destination Birthday Party, huh?
Unfortunately, she had a cold and was restricted from actually going into the giant blow up pool her Trini Grandma had bought and arranged in the front yard. Here she is like get me away from these crazy splashing kids!!
So, we had to wake her up from her nap to get sung "Happy Birthday" to and it is ironic that this her big brother Jboy too was half asleep, or rather, all the way asleep during his birthday serenade! hilarious!
Cousin J, this boy is Cboys age but is massive and could easily be mistaken for an 11 year old easy!! I mean back there in Trinidad, where kids are a little bigger, and in the States! Cool kid. Very smart. The cousins had a ball. He was a great host!
Trinidaddy and I got to go out for new year's eve. We were told of this cool party called "Shine" that had folks our age and a few DJs that spun all the hits we listen to and they had a red carpet entrance so I could take a pic and pretend to look famous!
Jboy at the birthday party
So, I don't think I should reveal how, but we got a private police escort to the beach one day. (This was our second beach trip. It rained both times)
Thus, it was a very much and gritty beach...
No blue waters here! Thank God Trinidad has loads of money in their wells! In fact, we spotted several drilling wells along the trip...
GG protecting herself from the sun, which did come out in bursts here and there...
Cboy and Jboy run to meet the rest of the family out in the water...
GG, getting down and dirty with play in the muddy and gritty sand...
She got so much attention, she even learned how to "fake" cry when she wanted attention...people were literally fighting themselves to play with her...
at the airport upon arrival, the mischiefmakers roamed the lobby in front of immigration check in and entertained the crowd, who like us, had to wait over 1 hour to go through immigration! insane!!!
before we left and because of the ticket mixup we got to go back home and catch a friend's holiday party. Here are the boys with her boys.
before we got to DC, we were able to spend some time in Brooklyn at TriniDaddy's cousin house. This chocolate house was so good. It was handmade by Dave's cousin's co-worker. The milk chocolate the guy used to make this thing was OUT OF THIS WORLD! yum...(I think I popped a button just salivating over this photo.)
GG opened one of her toys on Christmas morning...
Cboy opening his gifts Christmas morning...
Before we left, Cboy had a piano recital of select Nutcracker Ballet tunes and we invited his Kindermusik instructor who is also Jboys current teacher.
Cboy getting ready to hit the stage with other players...FUN TIMES!!
