Alas, the man offered us a free flat screen Television to switch. FREE!!! DING! we were sold.
So...we switched...a couple dozen calls, email inquiries later, no TV. They had a back order. Duh! I could imagine having to ship thousands of FREE TVs across their various markets.
I was bummed when an automated caller called my house to tell me of the "back order" and tell me to expect my tv at the END OF JULY!!! NOOOO!!!
You see, I had cleared out our old 19 inch TV out a TV Cabinet/hutch in the Guest Bedroom. That TV, with all its junk in its trunk, would not pass the litmus test in this digital world. ha!
Imagine my surprise when our TV came earlier!! woo hoo!!! Tuesday to be exact. Hmmm. the box was peculiarly "smaller" than I expected. hmmmm.
It did look smaller out the box too, albeit shiny and new and flat and thin. Ahhh technology.
whatev man, a free tv is a free TV. THANKS VERIZON FIOS!!!

Hey a flat screen is a flat screen- what a great deal! FIOS is superior to everything else out there according to my techie dh, we're waiting for them to come to our neighborhood and we'll be switching in a heartbeat.
It took my parents months to get the flat screen from Verizon too. She was calling all the time. She got a verizon cell phone while waiting and she asked the cell phone salesman if he good call someone to get her free tv *lol* He looked at her like she was crazy. She got it a few weeks ago.
