flashback thursday: regression therapy

i used to be all judgmental about those parents who i see with children over 2 years old with pacifiers in their mouths or still drinking out of bottles.

the other day, i got disgusted when i saw this father throw his 5 and 6 year old kids in the back seat without buckling them in nor putting them in booster seats.

i turn my nose up at those parents pushing their rather largish 65lb+ kids around in strollers made for small children.

but then, last week, J-boy asked for a drink in a baby's bottle. I realized he has been throwing rather intense fits and tantrums lately, probably because he knew and/or sensed his days are being numbered as being THE BABY. Trinihubby's mom said he did the same thing and even resorted to demanding being put back into diapers (after he had been toilet trained) and insisting on drinking out of a bottle and laying in the crib.

After 2 consecutive days of letting J-boy indulge himself in diluted juice through a baby bottle, he's calmed down a notch or two and he hasn't asked for the bottle since.

HE JUST NEEDED A LITTLE REGRESSION THERAPY TO GET HIM BACK TO HIS PAST LIFE AS A BABY, I GUESS!

HA!

poor thing!

but i agree - sometimes it's smarter to give them what they ask for (within reason), than to battle it out.

and the kids without careseats thing drives me CRAZY. i feel like i see that way too often...isn't that illegal??

fergie, that is illegal the carseat thing. i just don't get it.

yeah guys, we figure we'd induldge him but it looks like it's out of his system ...for now. when the new baby comes, that's a whole other story, i guess.
