the fruit roll up dilemma. what is it?
it's when you hand your nearly three-year old child a tightly wrapped foot-long roll of dried fruit...
your choices are:
a. leave him to his own devices to learn how to unwrap the darn thing cause the day care workers certainly won't and he needs to learn, BUT then you risk seeing endless flecks of wax paper in his poop for a couple of days...cause you just know he's not gonna unroll it right!
OR
b. you unwrap it for him and he never learns to do it himself. he walks around with a long scarf of fruit "candy" flung over his shoulder sometimes dragging on the floor as he toddles about his business... you hope he doesn't pick up any strange bacteria. hmm. and you wonder why said child is always snot-filled. hmmm????
