DC Carnival Weekend

we had a busy weekend entertaining out of town guests visiting for DC Carnival. Thursday and Friday, we headed to a back to back parties. Had a ball. Saturday, we (including the boys) went to the parade a bit late, but only managed to catch a few bands. Wandering about, we bumped into and reunited with several old friends. Then went took our out of town guests to the U Street entertainment area for some Ethiopian cuisine. We ended the night at a friend's house for some laid back fun (sans the kids) where I found myself on a chair with three other mom of two kids talking about our kids. *sigh* I have become that type of mom. We did manage to chat about our hubbies and life too. It was very fun time. Sunday, Dave's family had a cook out and between the two of us, we ate 7 plates of curry crab! mmmmmmm.
