Wednesday Folly is on holiday today.On this fourth of July, America celebrates its independence. This afternoon we may go to the local miniature golf range and then pick up some crabs and have a crab fest at home until the fireworks display tonight.
Unfortunately, children like Jarrod are not so lucky to be free.
Case in point. There's a busted television set in the guest room where we like watching TV sometimes. Occasionally, the TV goes cuckoo, gets all fuzzy, but just needs a good WHACK on its side console to get it to show properly. (yeah, it's ghetto-rigged, but otherwise still a perfectly good set)
When the TV is on the fritz, whilst a mere 3 feet from the TV, Dave will call poor baby Jarrod up from whatever fun he is having in the basement playroom.
JARRRROOOOOODDDD!!! Come boy!
Jarrod will toddle upstairs and on instructions, give the TV a good WHACK!!!
Dave: Thank you
Jarrod: Yuh welcome. (smile. happy to oblige his favorite parent)
And he toddles back about his busine
